A bit about the cafe...

Founded in 2023 by local educator Muriel Morgan Walckiers, Mahaba Café is a social enterprise on a mission. We offer real work experience, personalised training, and a supportive space where young people with learning disabilities and autism can build skills and confidence.

Our Impact so far

  •  29 graduates

  • 57% of graduates looking for employment are in rewarding roles

  •  2226 hours of training so far…

We're more than just your local spot for great food and friendly faces  -  we're a place of opportunity. Here, young people with learning disabilities are gaining skills, building confidence, and finding their path.

Mahaba means love in Swahili - and that’s the heart of everything we do. We hope to see you soon!
